LEARN POTTERY ON THE POTTERY WHEEL! This course is perfect for you if you always wanted to try out the pottery wheel. We teach small groups of students in our cosy atelier so everyone get’s enough 1:1 time with our professional teachers. We speak native german and C2 english! --- YOU NEED 1. Short fingernails 2. Clothes that can get dusty --- WHAT YOU LEARN 1. Learn how to create clay objects on the pottery wheel 2. Learn reliable techniques how to center clay on the wheel 3. Learn how to refine the shape you envision for your piece 4. Explore how to use wooden and metal shaping tools 5. Learn how to safely separate the piece from the wheel at the end 6. Understand where clay comes from and how it is formed in nature 7. You’ll be able to join a more advanced class after this introduction --- YOUR CHOICE At the end of the class, You can choose from a variety of high-quality, dishwasher-safe glazes to give your creation a perfect finish - 6 solid color glazes, 10€ per piece - 6 dual-tone effect glazes, 12€ per piece Our teachers will do the glazing for you. The additional fee for glazing is to cover the cost of materials and energy for the glaze-firing. This is payed in cash or contactless at the atelier. --- WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? We notify you personally after 4 weeks when your pieces are ready for pickup! Enduring a total of 48 hours of fire 🥵 first at 900°C and a second time at 1240°C 🔥 your pieces will be transformed into stoneware, all glazes are fused with the clay into a durable high-quality piece of art from your own hands. Now your pieces are dishwasher safe and you can literally use them for the rest of your life. Hopefully the memories of your ceramic workshop remain just as long!
